Americ’as Cup preliminary regatta in Vilanova i la Geltrú

This will be the first milestone of the America’s Cup Legacy Project Plan that all the administrations and the private sector are working on together under the coordination of the Barcelona Capital Nàutica and which aims to bring top-level sailing to the entire territory and energize it beyond the competition.

For four days – a first day of training and three more of competition with fleet regattas and match races – the town of Vilanova i la Geltrú will become the stage for the premiere of the six participating teams, who plan to settle in Barcelona this summer and who will face off for the first time on board AC40 class boats in one of the historic ports of the Catalan coast. It will be a great opportunity for the public to see what awaits them next year in the Ciutat Comtal.
